About the Bubble Popper

For more than 30 years, Andrew Skolnick has been a science writer, photographer, and investigative reporter. His work has been recognized with numerous awards from journalism and human rights groups, including Amnesty International’s “Spotlight on Media” award, the John P. McGovern Medal for Preeminent Contributions to Medical Communication from the American Medical Writers Association, a Pulitzer Prize nomination from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for Investigative Journalism, a Rosalynn Carter Fellowship for Mental Health Journalism, and a Harry Chapin Award for Impact on Hunger and Poverty from World Hunger Year.

Skolnick’s work has been published in many leading science and news publication including the New York Times, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Smithsonian and Natural History magazines, Encyclopaedia Britannica, the American Kennel Club’s Family Dog magazine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and his favorite:  Ranger Rick’s Nature Magazine.
